Time Waits For No Man

JOHN
At the sound of the alarm 4:30 am, John sleepily stops it with the mind to have a snooze for another 30 minutes. This continued until he finally wakes up.He runs to the bathroom at the sight of the time.It was 7:45 am and he was supposed to report at work at 8am.'Gush am late to work again' he bewails.
He spends 5 minutes in preparing for work. Gets to the car and the car refused to start. Perhaps it was irked at John's constant lateness.He runs to the road to get a Taxi which he delayed him for another 10 minutes. He felt like the world was against him when finally he got a taxi and was stuck in mad traffic.After 45 minutes of  stress he finally got to work very sweaty because he had to get down and run 1 meter of the journey to work since he couldn't stand the traffic.
Every body was busy with their daily activities when he went to his office. Unfortunately another enemy was waiting for him on his office desk. A pile of work he had compiled for two weeks which he was to submit by the end of the day.
Wondering if the day could be worse, his boss came in to demand for the work in less than one hour because he had an emergency.
At this moment John was the most remorseful person ever.He wished he could turn back the hands of time, so that he could have done the work earlier. He wished he had not procrastinated.He wished he had dismissed his laziness that morning and came to work early.He was confused what to do. After 5 minutes of pondering he decide to confess to his boss that he couldnt do the work and there was no way he can finish within an hour. And requested  for another chance.The Boss granted him another chance because of his honesty but John had the punishment of losing three month salary to pay for the harm he caused by not doing his assignment.
John from then was an opposite of himself.He was the first to go to work and last to leave. Always submitted his work on time. And was less under stress.



John had another chance but we might not we should learn from his mistake.
